| | What kind of card security do you have? We don't keep your details. We recommend you use a credit card when shopping anywhere on the internet; they generally have much better fraud protection/detection and you are insured against online losses.
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card purchases are handled by our payment service provider, PROTX, who operate a secure server and are accredited by the major banks. We do not hold credit card details. |
| Is my browser going to work with your site? We haven't found any browsers that won't work with the shop, Mac or PC. If you are having problems make sure you are using the latest version of the browser that your computer can cope with. Do email us if you have problems - shop@orcasurf.co.uk. |
| Do I need to allow cookies? What are they? To use the software that runs our shop, we need you to turn cookies on. The shop uses a session cookie to remember where you've been, what you've seen, and what's in your Basket, which speeds up your browsing experience. Cookies are not used in any way that abuses your privacy or security.
If the shop tells you the cookie request has been refused, this can be for several different reasons, but they are all under your control:
- you may have disallowed cookies altogether in your browser
- you may have the privacy policy in your browser or internet security software/firewall set to a level that stops cookies from being used by this shopping site.
You need to go to the Options/Preferences in your browser and turn cookies on. The best setting is where cookies are accepted only from sites you specifically navigate to. |
