Enough Said Enough Said was filmed between '85 and '91 and is Scott Carter’s first film. I've seen it before, but I still felt shudders up my spine as the opening track kicked in and the filth began. In terms of footage, there’s epic pipeline with Stewart, Tamega and co. all charging, insane antics from Newport Wedge and Chad Barba’s hell-cam with infinite amounts of water shots and empty wave action all additional highlights. My favourite segment is the one of Sandies, golden imagery with the colour of the boards and rashies making for some cosmic viewing. From a dropknee perspective you will see arguably the best Paul Roach section ever along with Aka Lyman taming anything coming his way. Enough Said is a moment in the culture and history of our sport and this film chronicles those times perfectly. Whether you make this the first bodyboarding DVD you buy or simply make space in your collection, it’s a must! The Inside The second instalment from Mr Carter and Locked In Productions, The Inside picks up where Enough Said left off. Most people say this is their favourite of the two, which may have something to do with the fact it has unparalleled helmet camera footage, all-time Hawaii, Puerto Escondido and plenty of attacks by the hellions on huge Newport Wedge. Just check out the forward air Chad Barba attempts off the peak at Newport for some iron bollocks. I don’t find The Inside as amping an affair as its predecessor, with its musical influence leaning much more toward the reggae and synth style and thus creating a slightly different vibe, but in a good way. In keeping a political edge to his filming Carter adds another masterpiece to his CV.
