As contests go the O’Neill CWC in Thurso has had a pretty good run of things in recent years. Yeah it’s been cold, but it’s always delivered barrels and plenty of sunshine, not the kind of weather that makes you go, “frickin’ ouch!” This year the weather turned it up to 11 with a Baltic northerly airflow delivering hail, gale, sleet, ash and snow. On top of that no one could escape because of the flight ban. CARVE froze it’s arse off to bring you the skinny.
