fergal makes history at aileen’s

Fergal Smith rode what is being called the biggest wave ever ridden at Aileen’s on Tuesday 20 October. Photographer Mickey Smith said, “It was massive — 15 to 25 feet. I’ve not seen anyone ride sets that big here before.” Aileen’s was the first stop for the much-hyped first big Atlantic swell of the season. Surfers are waiting to take it on right through Europe.
