Welcome to the new SurfGirl Website! We wanted to create something fresh, visual and inspiring. It’s a place for you to escape the humdrum of life and enter into our community of surfers, fun seekers and super-talented writers, fashionistas, photographers and creative types!

When you’re having a good surf and surfing well, it breeds confidence. Likewise, when you’re confident you tend to have a good surf and so the cycle feeds itself. But what can you do in order to make sure you’re feeling like a proud, confident queen of the seas each time you paddle out? This is part two of a series, focusing on girls who can already surf and need more confidence to boost their wave count.

‘The Women and the Waves’ is a documentary surf film that explores the lives of female surfers who, through the decades, have chosen to paddle head first into the male dominated sport of surfing and found a place of their own. The first UK screening will take place at the Surf Show in Bristol, 24-25 April and there’s loads more at the show. Check out the trailer here!
