It's autumn and we're starting to get bored, so here's something to look forward to if you're in Cornwall – go see hot surfer Ben Howard playing at local venues.
Ben Howard is from Totnes, Devon and is currently studying Journalism at Falmouth. It's been a big year for 21 year old Ben, not only is he a talented surfer and was part of Falmouth's victorious surf team at this year's student nationals... but he is also the freshest musical talent to emerge from the South West for some time.
A singer-songwriter with a voice beyond his years and comparable to that of Ray Lamontagne, unique lap tapping guitar skills and beautifully written songs... he is destined for big things. He is quickly getting a name for himself and is creating quite a buzz in the South West, leading to him playing quite a few festivals such as beachbreak and Surfstock, showcasing in London and even supporting Xavier Rudd.
Quiksilver have also taken quite a shine to Ben, with him playing at their events such as the Quik Pro France. Very exciting... Check him out before he's massive at open mic's around cornwall, in mother ocean or at www.myspace.com/benjaminjohnhoward
