The Masked Ball is back once again bigger, better and earlier.
This year’s event will take place as always at a spectacular spot Porthleven on May 1st which is conveniently a bank holiday giving you lucky ticket holders an extra day to recover! The Masked Ball Inn, which will be serving up a selection of fine tipples in a quirky pub atmosphere with Robin Parris (Shanghai Disco) doing battle with Sir Vinyl of The Fattest, the lads will be recreating Beckonham Palace in the Masked Ball grounds and the Main Tent be bouncing with Ou est Le Swimming Pool, Japayork, Kid Cola, Jac The Disco, HongKong PingPong, and Luke Gledhill.

The Relentless Boardmasters in Association with Vans is shaping up nicely again this summer. The headliners have recently been announced with Newton Faulker and Seasick Steve co-headlining Friday 6 August and the mighty Leftfield on Saturday 7 August.

A fin whale was washed up on Porthtowan beach on Sunday night. It’s thought it may have been killed after being struck by a ship. The fin whale is a huge 56 feet long and weighs 100 tonnes. The whale is decomposing and people have been warned to stay away as it maybe diseased.
Fin whales are second largest whale and the second largest living animal after the blue whale growing to 88ft long. It’s on the endangered species list, apart from still being hunted, collisions with ships and noise from human activity threaten recovery.
We’ve just been sent this pic of Gerran Bennett with his daughter by the dead whale and heard a report that one local surfer has already cut his jaw bone out. We’re just surprised it hasn’t been melted down for candles and soap yet! Reports that whale pasties are now being served in the local pubs are so far unsubstantiated.
Big wave nut and technical shredder Brendan Newton from Australia has just signed with European base bodyboard brand Respect. The man is on a mission with big goals set for the coming year, ThreeSixty will be keeping a keen eye on him so expect some insane images, footage and some sick new boards with his signature on them! What is the name of your new production? The Project (tp3)
Who is starring in it? all the top guys like Storey, Eldred, Prisk, Barber, Wall, Jack J, the Daniel bros, Catten, Dinham, Dogger and so on…….. plus a ton of underground guys and up and comers.
Who is filming for you? for a change mainly myself im fed up of surfing on the good days which leads to me struggling for footage (in past projects), but i have mike norman filming in wales, Kevin Doyle in ireland is helping out as well, plus I’m sorting out some other stuff atm.
The editing is slick, where have you picked up your mad skills from? time and patience.
What will the sections be? not sure yet, i will see where i am in october/november when i start editing the sections.
Sound track? no death metal haha.
When can we see it? hoping christmas 2010 but I’ll see where I am with footage at that point.
